Todor Gotchev and Irina Gotcheva have lived in the Chicago area since moving to the United States in 1996.

Todor specializes in dances of the of the village of Kermen in eastern Thrace. For many years he was a soloist with the Bulgarian National Folk Ensemble Sliven.

Irina was a soloist, ballet master, and choreographer with the Bulgarian National Folk Ensemble Sliven. She is a graduate of the national choreographic school in Sofia as well as the Academy for Music and Dance Arts, Plovdiv, and has done research on village dance in eastern Thrace. She graduated from the State School of Choreography in Sofia and from The Academy for Music and Dance in Plovdiv.

The couple have taught at the Balkanske Igre Spring Festival Weekend at International House in Chicago.

Todor and Irina founded the ensemble for Bulgarian folk dances Horo in Chicago in 2003 and to this day are its artistic directors.

Dances Todor and Irina have taught include Mŭzko Trakiisko (with Tropoli), Pravo Trakiisko, Skobelevska (Trakiiska) Rŭčenica, Trite pŭti, Trun trun libe le, and Žensko Trakiisko.
