As one dance ends, a new one begins.

As I started writing the 62nd Dancing With Two Left Feet article, I realized what a privilege it was to have had such a wonderful opportunity to not only write all the articles over the last five years, but to also to be able to put a smile on the faces of many of my readers.

I also enjoyed writing about my love of dancing that started in my native country of Croatia, continued for many years in Israel, and finally all over California – San Diego, Laguna Beach, San Jose, Thousand Oaks, and back to San Diego.

After all the articles I wrote and with my memory slowly fading, I decided that rather than repeating myself, as some of us older folks do, I would call an end to my monthly column. Besides, I am afraid the list of article topics has kind of petered out.

While I am ending my DW2LF column, I am not putting my two left feet or the pen to rest, and will continue to dance weekly in Balboa Park and at our wonderful "Dance Unlimited" location on 30th St. I am directing my pen to myself as I concentrate on writing about my wonderful, magical, and most of all lucky life that brought me to this point.

And finally, I want to thank Folk Dance Scene for providing the vehicle for my writing, and the Scene's many readers who did not only encouraged me to write, but also allowed me to share my love of dancing with all of you.

Thank you all.

Editor's Note: Lou, we at Scene greatly appreciate the work you have done in writing interesting, varied, sometimes poignant, sometimes humorous articles. They have been an excellent addition, and I'm sure have been read and enjoyed by all of our subscribers. If you ever get another idea for an article, we would be most willing to print it.
