David Dassa is a world renowned Israeli dance teacher/choreographer has taught Israeli folk dance in Los Angeles for the past 35 years and conducted hundreds of workshops throughout the United States and abroad. David leads two of the most popular dance evenings in the United States on Sundays in West Los Angeles and on Wednesdays at Wilshire Boulevard Temple in West Los Angeles.

David, along with his first Israeli dance company, performed in the opening ceremonies of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He choreographed several biblical dance scenes for the DreamWorks film, The Prince of Egypt.

David Dassa is the son of famed Israeli dance choreographer Dani Dassa (called "The Father of Israeli Folk Dancing in the United States"). David, from his earliest childhood, danced at Cafe Danssa in West Los Angeles, California – a folk dance coffee house created by Dani.

David is an excellent teacher of Israeli folk dance and is the director of camp Rikud, which Dani founded. In June 2004, David joined Wilshire Boulevard Temple as the Director of Dance for its Jewish Camp Hess Kramer and Gindling Hilltop Camp. David was the Director of Dance at the Brandeis-Bardin, and was director of dance at Camp Alonim for over twenty-seven years.

David is also known for his work with children and has been teaching dance to middle and high school students at Milken Community Schools since 1998.

David and his wife, Beth, make their home in the Los Angeles, California, area.
