Armand and Sharron Deny were prominent folk dance instructors and cultural directors in Southern California. They directed the Vasa Junior Folk Dance Group, specializing in Scandinavian and traditional Swedish folk dances, and taught at prominent regional folk dance camps.
They led the Vasa Junior Folk Dance Group in Los Angeles, performing at Scandinavian-American festivals and community events, and taught Scandinavian dance forms – such as regional pols dances – at prominent gatherings like the Mendocino Folklore Camp.
The Deny's were instrumental in organizing and directing performances for visiting Scandinavian folk dance and music delegations in California.
