You never would have thought that Ken Horwege (pronounced HOHR-wezh, as in cortège) would end up clogging! His background includes a Fine Arts degree from Kansas University, graduate work in Mass Communication, and six years in the US Air Force in which he became a Captain. But Ken has also been clogging for 20 years, and is a 15 year member of the Hoofin' High Country Cloggers.

Ken has performed as an Irish dancer for the City of Denver Pipe Band for over seven years. He has even performed an evening show with the Dixie Chicks in the past. He enjoys teaching and traveling to various local and state festivals as a performer.

Ken has been teaching Appalachian and modern clogging since 1995. He usually teaches two levels simultaneously. Ken enjoys meeting new people and learning what he can from them, as well as instilling a sense of fun and confidence in students' abilities.

Dances Ken has taught include Applachian dance and clogging.
