Leslie K. Hyll is a member of the Miami Valley Folk Dancers (MVFD) for more than 30 years where she shares teaching responsibilities during regular teaching sessions – beginning to advanced. She served in various offices for the group and was named the 2000 MVFD Honor Roll Dancers (with spouse). She spearheaded the project to make 50 years of MVFD workshop syllabi available in electronic format.

Leslie is a member of Zivio!, a performing group of the Association of South Slavic Peoples of Dayton, Ohio. She also choreographs for Beseda (a performing group of the American Czechoslovakian Club) and Bagatelle (a performing group of Le Club Francais).

Leslie taught international folk dance at Wright State University HPR Class, Slavic dances at the 2006 Cityfolk Festival, international folk dances and contras at state and national square dance conventions, evening programs for non-dancers, Italian folk dances to a local Italian club, and Folk Dance Workshops for Language Teachers and Students.

Her affiliations are many: Society of Folk Dance Historians, Lloyd Shaw Foundation, Country Dance and Song Society of America, Liederkranz-Turner German Club, American Czechoslovakian Club, Dayton Dance Partners, and Cityfolk.

Leslie lives with her husband, Edmund Cordray.
