Dan McDonald was a caller of American square and round dances.
Dan taught at the California College of the Pacific Folk Dance Camp (now Stockton Folk Dance Camp) in 1949 and was a caller at the 1954 California Statewide Festival.
He was president of the California Folk Dance Federation, Inc.
Dances Dan taught include Golden Slippers and Lili Marlene.
