Glenn Nielsen

Glenn Nielsen was the founding artistic director of Radost Folk Ensemble. He retired after 22 years with the company in 1997.
The "Glenn Nielsen Retirement Concert" on December 12, 1997, was directed by Sandy Bradley and featured local Balkan ensembles Vela Luka Croatian Ensemble and Bokreta Hungarian Ensemble.
Radost was begun in the late 1970s, and enriched with tours throughout the Balkan region as well as the United States.
Glen taught at the 1983, 1986, and 1987 Kolo Festivals in northern California.
Dances Gregg taught include Barbatescu Bukita, Bratinecu din Chioar, Bukite, Invirtita Din Maramiures, Invitirta Rara Si Deasa Din salaj, Krivoto, Kyustendilska na Lea, P-A Lungu, Ponturi Codrensc, and Sarakinoto.
