Orsolya "Orsi" Strack was born in Hungary in 1970 and has been involved in Hungarian dance and folk singing from an early age. She was first nationally recognized for her singing, receiving the Kimetud (Hungarian Star Search) award.

She joined the Bartok Ensemble of Budapest, Hungary, as a dancer and singer and has taught with the Artistic Director, Zoltán Nagy. Orsi received the prestigiouis Aranygyöngyös award for best female amateur dancer.

In 1997, she came to the Pacific Northwest of the United States for a year, teaching singing at the Ti Ti Tabor Camp in Washington, dance in Portland (Oregon), Vancouver (British Columbia), and Seattle (Washington), and creating choreography for Bokréta Ensemble of Seattle.

Orsi is especially known for her work in teaching and directing children and in choreographing women's dances. She joined the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble as a soloist when she returned to Hungary in 2000.
